“If socialism is such nightmare then why do all the happiest countries in the world embrace it?”

On HBO’s Actual Time With Invoice Maher’s controversial episode final March 29, the comic requested this daring query in response to claims that “socialism is such a one-way ticket to becoming the nightmare of Venezuela.”

Maher referenced the United Nations’ newest annual World Happiness rankings and identified that the highest nations “are all socialist-friendly places like Finland and Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Canada.”

He adds:

“The precise has a tough time understanding the idea that we don’t need ‘long lines for bread socialism.’ We wish the ‘you don’t must win the lotto to afford mind surgical procedure socialism socialism.’”

Maher factors out that not everybody in America lobbies for pure socialism. As an alternative, most individuals, whether or not they notice it or not, solely wish to complement capitalism with some socialistic insurance policies.

He describes the sentiment as:

“Socialism replacing capitalism is bad, but socialism as a supplement to capitalism is good. Kind of like how gin and tonic are terrible by themselves, but mixed together, delightful.”

Maher factors out that what residents really need is peace of thoughts, saying that:

“Happiness isn’t only about what you have, it’s also what you don’t have to worry about. Turns out, freedom from the fear of ending up in a tent below the overpass is a really great freedom. It’s called peace of mind.”

So why isn’t America leaning in direction of socialistic methods, or a minimum of some?

In line with Maher, conservatives wish to push the false notion that unrestricted capitalism makes you “more free.”

However to Maher, “actually it’s the right kind of socialism that makes you the freest.”

What do you assume? Do you assume socialism is unhealthy to a rustic like America?

Or, if the world’s happiest nations embrace socialism, they may be doing one thing proper?
