NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant gets two-year extension up to June 2021 as Cabinet’s appointments panel gives nod
New Delhi: Amitabh Kant was on Wednesday given a two-year extension as chief govt officer (CEO) of the NITI Aayog, an official order mentioned.
The appointments committee of the Cupboard has accredited the extension of Kant’s tenure for an extra interval of two years past 30 June 2019, which is as much as 30 June 2021, on the identical phrases and circumstances, the personnel ministry mentioned within the order.
He was appointed because the CEO of the federal government think-tank on 17 February 2016, for a hard and fast two-year time period.
Kant was later given an extension until 30 June 2019.
