New Delhi, Apr 05: The Election Fee (EC) mentioned as many as 10 lakh voters have been added to the electoral rolls throughout the nation final week, together with 4 lakh first timers.

When the EC introduced the polls on March 10, it had mentioned that there are a complete of about 90 crore voters within the nation.

He added that preparations for conducting polls within the first two phases on April 11 and 18 are in full swing and all amenities can be supplied to all classes of voters.

For the primary part, he mentioned, there are a complete of 1,280 candidates within the fray, 1,188 males and 92 ladies, whereas for the second part (April 18), there are 1,674 candidates, 1,549 male and 125 feminine.

Saxena mentioned there have been a complete of 61 lakh voters within the “persons with disabilities” class.

He added that the ‘cVigil’ app has been a “big hit” and the fee has obtained 40,116 complaints via it until now.

The cVIGIL cell utility was launched by the Election Fee final yr and complaints on violations of ballot code might be uploaded on it.

Virtually 99 per cent or 39,900 complaints have been disposed of and 68 per cent of those have been discovered to be appropriate, Saxena mentioned.
