Jammu, Apr 12: Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district remained underneath curfew for the fourth consecutive day Friday amid strict vigilance by the Military, officers stated.

Authorities are planning to chill out the curfew for one hour from Four pm Friday, they stated.

A senior RSS chief Chanderkant Sharma and his safety guard have been killed on Tuesday when a militant opened hearth inside a well being centre in Kishtwar city, prompting authorities to impose curfew and name the Military to take care of regulation and order within the communally delicate area.

“The curfew continues to remain in force in Kishtwar for fourth consecutive day today. There is strict enforcement of curfew. Army continues to remain deployed,” an official stated.

He stated there was no report of any untoward incident from wherever within the district and strict vigilance is being maintained in all delicate areas of the district.

In keeping with an order issued by Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner A S Rana, the curfew will likely be relaxed from Four pm to five pm in some areas and 4.30 pm to five.30 pm in different areas of Kishtwar district.

Police had picked up a number of over floor employees (OGWs) for interrogation in reference to the killing of Sharma and his PSO by terrorists.
