AGR dues: Vodafone Concept says will ‘instantly’ pay Rs 2,500 cr to DoT; Tata Teleservices makes Rs 2,197 cr fee


Vodafone Concept Ltd (VIL) has stated its board has authorised the corporate to right away pay Rs 2,500 crore, a portion of its statutory dues, to the telecom division on Monday.

VIL dues are over Rs 53,000 crore as per estimated by the telecom division.

In the meantime, Tata group agency TTSL on Monday stated it has paid Rs 2,197 crore to the federal government to settle excellent arising from the Supreme Courtroom ruling on adjusted gross income (AGR) dues for telecom companies.

“Tata Teleservces Ltd and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd have made a payment of Rs 2,197 crore to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) towards license fee and spectrum usage charges,” it stated in an announcement.

The fee is to settle all its AGR excellent.

“TTSL and TTML have also submitted to DoT the details of calculations in support of the payment,” it stated.
